Well folks I can still hardly believe it, but Carson and I have been selected as official showcase artists this year for the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance. SERFA is a wonderful conference that takes place in Black Mountain, NC. We attended last year for the first time and fell in love with just about everything. We are so excited to be returning this year amongst the 23 other incredible artists also selected for official showcases. One of my favourite things about SERFA is that it takes place in a beautiful stone castle-like inn nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Because it’s smaller than Folk Alliance International, it’s mother organization, there’s time for reflection, connection, healing and business. It’s a real community of people who get together and take the time to genuinely be together. I remember performing with ease and love as everyone quieted down to listen. Performing at SERFA is like nowhere else, the definition of a listening room. We just can’t wait to make more memories with everyone. I’ve also been asked this year to sit in on a workshop for first timers, I was over the moon to be asked. I love the idea of knowledge/experience sharing so it felt really lovely to be asked. Below I’ve included out schedule while there. Come chat with us, come jam with us, it’s time to come together:)
